7 amazing cultural places to visit in the sunshine

1.  Museo Frida Kahlo

Famous for being the bright, vibrant home of one of the world’s most recognizable artists, the ‘Blue House’ is even more atmospheric and intense in the blazing sunshine. Outside, the patio and gardens are beautiful spaces to explore and discover more about Frida’s life.

2. Lake Powell in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area

With nearly 2,000 miles of shoreline, the lake stretches from northern Arizona up into southern Utah and is visited by millions each year, looking to take in the geologic wonders or find out more about the history of the site.

Home to the seventh President of the United States, Andrew Jackson, this is one of the oldest historic site museums in the country. It occupies 1,120 acres, making it a must-visit site for people wanting both a greater understanding of history and to enjoy the vast grounds.

6. National 9/11 Memorial and Museum

Naming every person that died, the Memorial is a powerful reminder of what happened during the September 11th terror attacks. There is a contemplative, respectful ambience at the site that is even more evident on a hot day, with the hustle and bustle of New York City just yards away.

7. St. Andrews Castle

Visitors travel through time to the 16th Century at this historic Castle in Scotland and can even walk its courtyard, towers and battlements.
